4 Medium Sized Potatoes boiled &Coarsely mashed
1 tsp Lemon juice
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 cup White flour
1/2 cup Chana dal flour
A pinch of soda
Oil for Frying
Salt to taste
Slit the idlis with a sharp knife leaving one side intact.
Mix lemon juice,salt and mashed potatoes.
Stuff the idlis with the potato mixture,press well and keep aside.
Prepare a fairly thick batter by mixing rice, chana and white flour with little water. Add salt and soda.
Dip the stuffed idlis in the batter and fry till crisp. Serve hot with tomato sauce or garlic chilli sauce.
